Think about the ideal medical student. I would see that person as someone who can work hard and play as well, in order not to get consumed by the intensity of the education. Someone with the proven discipline to work the ridiculous hours needed. You have to be reliable, flexible, confident yet questioning.
Someone who enjoys memorization, science and math, and can communicate well. You could write that you loved it so much that you decided to coach a Science Olympiad team at a nearby middle school, and you developed methods to show the kids how to memorize science facts quickly. I am sure you can come up with your own anecdote that will help the reader be impressed with one or two of your unique characteristics.
